For this package, the river will be your home away from home. You will spend 4 glorious nights on the Rio Negro (Black River), on an Amazon jungle boat!
Day 1: I will pick you up from your hotel in Manaus at 8 a.m. and drive you to the Port of Seasa. From there, we will head into the Rio Negro. We stop at the meeting of the waters so you can see and feel this natural phenomenon and take some photos. You will enjoy seeing how the two rivers flow side-by-side without mixing for several kilometers, and then seeing the mixed waters from the other side. From there our next stop is the world famous Janauari Ecological Park. At the park, you will have the chance to see natural wonders such as giant water lilies that can measure up to 7 ft. (2 meters) in diameter. Following a delicious meal on the boat, we will go out next for caiman spotting, and if you are brave enough, you may even get a chance to hold one!
Day 2: We will begin the day with a wonderful breakfast aboard the boat. Next, we will go swimming with dolphins in the Rio Negro. Following our dolphin swim, we head upstream on the river to begin our excursions off the boat. We will go jungle hiking and piranha fishing, where you are almost certain to catch this Amazon delight.
Day 3: We will wake up at 5 a.m. to enjoy the sunrise over the river and see and hear the morning birds as well. We will return to the boat for a delicious breakfast. Next, we will go out and explore the wildlife of the region. The Amazon jungle has many treasures, and you will be delighted by our journey.
Day 4: Following breakfast on the boat, we will have the opportunity to visit one of the local Indigenous tribes. The Indians there will teach us part of their history, culture, and life along the river. While visiting, we will eat a meal prepared by members of the tribe, if you would like.
Day 5: After enjoying our final night of majestic stargazing on the river, we will awaken and eat breakfast. Following our breakfast, we head back going back to Manaus, where we will arrive at approximately 4 p.m.
